HomeWalk GradesWalking Programme

Safety Matters

All members should bear the following points in mind:

Each member
taking part in any walk must take personal responsibility for his/her own safety and to this end must
ensure they are properly equipped for changing conditions in the hills.

Essential equipment
includes hill walking boots, windproof and waterproof clothing and sufficient food and drink.

Emergency equipment
should be carried, especially for winter walking, e.g. survival bag, first aid kit, whistle and torch.

The walks are led by club members as shown in the walks programme.

If in any doubt prospective walkers should discuss these aspects with the walk leader. Their phone number can be
obtained from Gerry Malley (01786 833214) or Eric Howman (01259 742889).
